Brief History of Tashi Gey Gye Thaten Ling Bonpo Monastery:

This monastery was founded by the 32nd Menri Abbot Sherab Loedo Rinpoche and Lopon Sange Tenzin Rinpoche in 1959 after invasion of Tibet. Lama Tsultrim Nyima Rinpoche became the Abbot of Tashi Gaygye Thatan Ling Monastery around 1961, establishing an elementary school and was in charge of Dorpatan Settlement infrastructure until his passing in1980s, when Lama Sonam Gyaltsen Rinpoche became the Abbot and continued the work until 1993.
Since his appointment as an Abbot, Khenpo-la and Amchi Tsultrim Sangye La has built a new Medical Center for the nearby residents in 1998; began rebuilding the Monastery in 1999, completing additional floors, bigger and improved facilities in 2002. Khenpo-la had also renewed local elementary school, organizing supplies and maintenance for poor children and orphans, placing them with families and providing financial support to caretakers. Additional improvements are on the way with addition of solar panels to the Monastery and repairs of Monastery hospital.
The Monastery serves as a center to the region of west Nepal with Dhorpatan being the main town. Serious damage was sustained during 2015 earthquake.

Ten Virtues Teaching

Upcoming Teaching on Ten Virtues of The Fifth Way of Bon in New York.

Ten Virtues Teachings are found as a part of the Fifth Way of the Nine Ways of Bon System and focus on he proper conduct of a lay person, therefore called 
"Way of the Virtuous Lay Practitioners". 

This teaching goes in depth of identifying and resolving physical and emotional problems of every day life. It will focus on stress related illnesses and chronic diseases (ex. diabetes, high blood pressure), as well as problems associated with demanding lifestyles, such as social interactions (family and fiends relations), career (job loss, etc).

Participants will learn to understand the system of identifying, classifying and resolving problems on physical, emotional and energetic levels, thereby restoring balance and improving overall wellbeing.

This immersive one day teaching will educate participants on how to heal themselves and help others.

Story of Khenpo Ratsa Geshe Tenzin Dargye Rinpoche

Khenpo  Ratsa  Geshe  Tenzin  Dargye  His father name Yung drung Gyal, He is 36th  generation of Pong La Ratsa lineage in Amdo Sharpa and Mother name is Konchok  Dolma. She is neaer to the Mount Kailas in the Purang Gya-Jing. She is Amchi lineage (Tibetan Doctor). Khenpo Ratsa he was born in 1966 in Jomsom, Mustang. As a child, he was tutored at home by his father and sent to India at the age of Nine. At the age of 16, he decided to become a monk. Even at a very young age, he was very generous and motivated to help poor and disabled people. Also he worked as the organizer of the Bon Children Welfare Center and the dispensary for 7 years, as well as worked in both Menri Monastery and Dolanji village as a Nurse Practitioner and Social Services Supervisor for 18 years utilizing both Western and Tibetan healing practices. He studied in the Bon Dialectic School and achieved his Doctor of  Philosophy from Menri  Monastery in March 1996. After June 1996 The Tibetan Refuge government and 33 the sMenri Abbot requested that he transfer to Dhorpatan in Western Nepal to be the abbot of a Bon monastery Tashi Gaygye Thatan Ling.
